Blue Tourmaline Pendant from Brazil, a natural raw Indicolite stone with a lagoon-blue color and untreated point. Worn drilled on an adjustable black cord, this delicate crystal will accompany you through everyday life.

Sometimes a brief glance at the rare blue tourmaline is enough to ground yourself again. That is exactly what happens when this tiny Indicolite hangs around your neck and catches the light. Only 21mm long, yet with a clarity that larger stones often lack – it still carries its natural point at one end, just as it came from the earth. The effect of blue tourmaline is traditionally valued for clear communication, intuition, and a calm mind – a companion for conversations that require courage, or for moments when you simply want to stay centered. I recommend wearing it daily on the black cord, discreetly tucked under your sweater, where it sits close to the throat chakra. If you are looking to buy a genuine Indicolite, you will find here an untreated, one-of-a-kind piece from Brazil with the exact clarity that makes this rare tourmaline variety so sought after.

💡 Affirmation: I speak my truth with clarity and calm.

Frequently asked questions about Indicolite

What is Indicolite and why is it so special?

Indicolite is the blue variety of tourmaline, named after the indigo-colored blue tone that only a few locations produce. Mineralogically, tourmaline belongs to the borosilicates and has a Mohs hardness of 7 to 7.5 – robust enough for daily use as a pendant. Pure blue without green or gray tones is rare in tourmaline, which is why Indicolite is among the most sought-after tourmaline colors of all. This specimen comes from the tourmaline-rich mines of Brazil and still shows its natural crystal point on one side – proof of its authenticity.

How do I properly care for my tourmaline pendant?

Tourmaline generally tolerates water well, but because of its "size," I would wash it very carefully – avoid bumping it! Direct sunlight over long periods can cause the color of Indicolite to fade slightly, so it is best to store it in a protected place when you are not wearing it. To recharge it, one night on an amethyst cluster or in gentle moonlight is completely sufficient. You should avoid ultrasonic cleaners, as the fine inclusions and the tiny 1.5mm drill hole can be sensitive.

How do I recognize genuine Indicolite?

Genuine Indicolite shows fine natural growth lines and slight inclusions upon close inspection – completely flawless pieces are extremely rare in nature and are more likely an indication of dyed imitations. The color varies depending on the light between turquoise and a rich blue tone, while artificial replicas often appear unnaturally uniform. Weight is also an indicator: genuine tourmaline feels pleasantly dense for its size. This piece is untreated and shows exactly the small irregularities that define a real natural crystal.

How does Indicolite differ from other blue stones like aquamarine?

Unlike aquamarine, which belongs to the beryl family, Indicolite belongs to the tourmaline group and often exhibits a stronger, sometimes slightly bluish-green nuance. Tourmaline also forms prismatic crystals with characteristic longitudinal stripes, which you can easily see on this pendant. In addition, Indicolite is significantly rarer than aquamarine, making it a sought-after collector's item.

  • Fragility:

Glass crystals are delicate and can break if dropped. Please handle with care and do not place them in areas where they can be easily knocked over.
